Karina I. De La Cruz, President

Karina De La Cruz is Founder and CEO of Horizon Legal Solutions, Inc., a firm dedicated to translation and interpretation services, especially in the legal and medical communities. With over two decades of experience, she has built a reputation for excellence, accuracy, and professionalism in language services.

Karina began her career in the legal field after earning her Associate of Arts degree in Paralegal Studies from Cooper Career College. She spent nearly ten years working as a legal assistant and paralegal, where her bilingual skills proved invaluable. Recognizing the growing demand for high-quality language services, she decided to expand her expertise. She went on to earn a Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration with a focus on International Business from Northwood University in West Palm Beach, FL, followed by an MBA from Nova Southeastern University.

In 2006, Karina made the transition from paralegal to entrepreneur, founding Horizon Legal Solutions, Inc. Over the past 20 years, she has grown the company into a nationally recognized provider, serving clients in all 50 U.S. states and internationally in over 175 languages—and counting. She has had the privilege of working with some of the most prestigious law firms in Florida and beyond.

Outside of her professional achievements, Karina is a proud mother of two and a devoted pet parent to her fluffy fur baby, Coco. She enjoys staying active, unwinding with a good movie, and a fine glass of wine.

Sophia De La Cruz, CFO

Sophia is a Business Management graduate from Florida State University with a French minor and leadership certificate. Sophia is bi-lingual, and has international experience in both Spain and France, bringing a global perspective to her work.  
As our CFO, Sophia oversees the company’s financial operations, ensuring efficiency and seamless coordination across the departments under her leadership. Her analytical approach and attention to detail help drive organizational success and long-term growth.
Outside of work, Sophia values quality time with her family, especially her beloved dog. She enjoys staying active, traveling, reading, and exploring the arts - finding inspiration in new cultures and creative expression.
